Today’s adventure at Cherry Creek State Park didn’t go exactly as planned. I had hoped for a nice walk around the lake, but time management wasn’t on my side. However, not all was lost—we managed to pick up our state park pass from the campground.
I know, I know—I could’ve just paid for it with my car registration. But let’s not get into that mess right now—ha! To my surprise, the campground office had a “no pets allowed” policy inside, which was a bit disappointing. But the lovely woman at the counter gave me a pass so she could say hello to Maple. Score one for socializing!
Speaking of socializing, I’ve been thinking a lot about how Maple interacts with other dogs. Is it wiser to be cautious, considering she might encounter an unfriendly one? I’m torn because I want her to be relaxed around other dogs, but her safety is my top priority. Balancing these two aspects is tricky.
What do you all think? Do you have any tips on how to safely socialize your pets? Let’s share some wisdom while we look forward to our next weekend adventure!
